How to Fix a Broken Bronzer or Eyeshadow (and Save Your Favourites

We’ve all been there — you open your makeup bag, only to find your favourite bronzer shattered into pieces. While powders are delicate, the good news is: you don’t have to say goodbye. With this simple at-home trick, you can bring it back to life. ✨

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Gather your tools: You’ll need your broken bronzer, a clean spoon (or spatula), a tissue, and a little rubbing alcohol (surgical spirits).
  2. Crush and smooth: Gently crush the remaining powder into fine crumbs inside the compact. This will make it easier to reset evenly.
  3. Add a few drops: Sprinkle a few drops of rubbing alcohol directly onto the powder. Don’t flood it — just enough to dampen the surface.
  4. Press it down: Lay a tissue over the powder and use the back of your spoon to firmly press and smooth the product back into place.
  5. Let it dry: Leave the compact open overnight so the alcohol can evaporate. By morning, your bronzer will be set and ready to glow again! 🌞

Top tip: If you’re travelling, pop a bit of cling film or a cotton pad between the bronzer and the lid to keep it extra secure.

✨ Your bronzer will still have the same silky texture and beautiful payoff, just with a little extra character now!
